On the theme of undesirables from the shadow world, in addition to the above, one might add that cleanliness is important.
I mentioned before that deceased alcoholics will go where the alcohol is made and soak in the liquor. I am aware that this is a problem for some vineyards in France. Occasionally I have opened a bottle of scotch and had it disagree with me the next morning. That bottle gets thrown out. Now, it is difficult to tell in advance, so I dowse the bottle before purchase for contamination with the dead. (I should mention this in the Dowsing thread). The home distillery should probably be cleaned and stored properly. I don't have one, so I can't say with authority.
Séance and Ouija boards are looking for trouble. I remember Ouija boards were sold at toy stores back in the sixties. Even displayed in the front windows. Hardly a toy "for ages six and above". Many an attendee at a séance has been followed home.
Drugs I shouldn't have to mention. Like alcohol, some deceased people will come to bathe in the smoke, especially if done regularly in the same place. Drug houses resonate in this way.
There is also the consideration of the location. A house on a fairy road can be the cause of deceased strangers walking through the house.
It is easy for me to say these things, don't do this, don't do that. It goes without saying that bringing up problems, one should provide solutions. Common sense basics aside, dowsing is one way to diagnose these things and over the years most of these things have been solved within dowsing organisations such as the British Dowsers and American Dowsers societies. I still have a basic book on dowsing on my shelf. Healing Sick Houses - Dowsing for healthy homes by Roy and Ann Procter. Western Geomancy has a lot of good articles and solutions.
