Shadow People

The (shadow) girl is in her early teens and as most girls at that age, she has a crush on a (living) boy. She spends a lot of time with him.

So how can this be?

Well, the Buddhists say that this is the desire world, and I can agree with them here. Of course the Buddhists also say that to ascend to a "higher realm" and leave the desire world is a case of becoming desireless. It is a no-brainer to understand that the ticket into the desire world is to have a desire.

So it follows that everyone comes here with a desire. It also stands to reason that if that desire is fulfilled within that lifetime, we leave without regret.  So unfulfilled desire is probably the biggest reason for people to stay behind. With youngsters who die early that desire wasn't realised, and just because they are in the afterlife / shadow world doesn't mean they magically become desireless and everything is resolved.

So that is my soft spot for this (shadow) girl, she has an unrequited crush on someone.

The Buddhists talk about the desire world as if it were a bad thing. - I have to disagree with them there.
