Some of the very same people that said they didn't want politics on the site, those most eager to complain about it and that claimed it ruined ATS, can now be found bickering about politics almost daily there. Politics was never really the problem. Letting toxic shitheels constantly derail discussions with non sequiturs, disingenuous questions, asserting fantastical lies, and shifting the goal posts every time the misrepresentation of facts is pointed out, was the problem. The solution proposed was to ban everyone from talking about it, because a few people with antisocial tendencies can't control themselves and for whatever reason nobody can be bothered to enforce the laundry list of rules they constantly violate.

Who would have thought that using the exact same mod team, enforcing the exact same rules, and putting another thin-skinned grifter in charge, wouldn't solve any of the problems that plagued Darko era ATS?
